Dr Sarah Dougan
MB BCh BAO (2007); PG DipCH (2011); MRCGP (2018); PG Dip Paediatric Neurodisability (2025)

Dr Sarah Dougan graduated with her MB BCh BAO from Queen’s University Belfast in 2007. Following completion of Foundation training she gained further valuable paediatric training and experience working in Australia. She completed a PG Diploma in Child Health in 2011.

Dr Dougan went on to complete GP training within the Western Trust, NI in 2018. Since 2019, she has worked as a Speciality Doctor in Community Paediatrics, within the NHS, running dedicated ADHD clinics. She also carries out developmental assessments and provides support around education. She is committed to ongoing professional development and has completed ADHD and ADOS -2 training as well as completing a 2-year Diploma in Paediatric Neurodisability in 2025. Dr Dougan is a member of the BMA and Asscociate of the RCPCH.

Dr Dougan is passionate about supporting young people with neurodiversity with particular focus on ADHD assessment and management.

Alison McCauley

Currently completing MSc Systemic Family Psychotherapy (2026)

Alison McCauley is a Specialist Family and Systemic Practitioner with over 16 years of experience across CAMHS, education, and psychotherapy. She currently works within NHS Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Services in the Western Trust, supporting young people and families with a compassionate, evidence-based approach.

Passionate about neurodiversity, Alison helps families understand and manage challenges as differences rather than deficits. Her work integrates Systemic Family Therapy, trauma-informed practice, ADHD coaching, therapeutic play, and EMDR (Level 2) for children and adolescents.

She is registered with NISCC, BASW, EMDR Ireland, and the Association of family therapy and systemic practice (AFT UK).
